25-Amp Pump Protector
The 25-Amp Pump Protector is designed for use in irrigation, pools, spas, dewatering, boosters, and many other pumping applications. The 25-Amp unit is rated to handle up to 25-Amps at 277 VAC. The 25-Amp is most commonly used in direct wire-to-the-motor applications for either 125-VAC or 240-VAC pump motors.
125 VAC / 25-Amps Maximum
Only black wire (power) is connected through the Pump Protector. NEVER connect the Pump Protector in the white wire (neutral) circuit.
277 VAC / 25-Amps Maximum
Black or red (power) can be connected through the Protector (but not both). NEVER connect the Pump Protector in the green (ground) circuit.
1-Amp Pump Protector
The 1-Amp Pump Protector is designed specifically for use in pumping applications using low-current control panels or starter circuits. The 1-Amp unit is rated to handle up to 1-Amp at a maximum of 125-VAC. The 1-Amp unit must never be connected directly to the pump motor, only to a low-current control panel or a low-current starter coil, either of which are capable of handling the high voltage and high currents of the pump motor.
Pumps with a Pressure Switch
The Pump Protector supports pumps with pressure switches. Below is a suggested wiring diagram for pumps using pressure switches.
WARNING: Pump Protectors are designed for professionals. All electrical connections must be made only by qualified personnel and in accordance with your local and national electrical codes and regulations.
